Training 7/18/2012

In short.

1)      Easily got 155# off blocks for 2 reps.

2)      Snatch balanced 165# for 4 reps with no problem.

3)      Rocked Elizabeth (21-15-9 135# Power Cleans and Ring Dips) in 4:16. Toasted my grip.  It was amazing.

4)      Squat Cleaned 215# off blocks for 2 consecutive reps easily (I have a self-confessed weak front squat).  Then, without dropping the bar, jerked it.  It was amazing.

Did the following in 14:46 total, including rests.  Each of the first rounds took 2:00, 2:00, 2:14 respectfully.  I also did each first set of thrusters unbroken and all DUs were unbroken.  Burpees continue to absolutely suck like always.


-3 rounds for time/reps of:

5 Cleans (full squat) to Thrusters 135/95#
50 Double-Unders
5 Cleans (full squat) to Thrusters 135/95#

*Rest 1 minute.

1 minute ME Burpees

*Rest 1 minute, then begin the next round


I still want to win everything.  Progress is progress.  I’ll be building some modified low position blocks here soon.  I’ll post a picture.  My body is beat up.  I’m taking today (Wednesday) off to recover.
